What a weekend it was for college football!
As a big Ohio State fan I was thrilled to see us get bumped up to the #2 spot in the BCS rankings. My second favorite team, Alabama, suffered a heartbreaking loss to get us there.
Next week is conference championship weekend, and it couldn’t matter more this year for the Buckeyes. We need a great showing against Michigan State if we want to seal our chances to play in the championship game on January 6th.
It’s a great time to be a Buckeyes fan!
I golfed for the first time and it wasn’t pretty…but it was a blast!
I shot a 126, and only lost three balls. I was able to find most of the sand traps and almost all of the water hazards. Did I mention I had a blast?!
Nob North Golf Club was a great first course to play. Beautiful landscape, nice hole layout and the grounds were very well kept.
I’ve learned that I need a glove, or so the large broken blister on my right thumb tells me. I also learned that you can’t raise your head to see where the ball went, until after you hit it. Laugh all you want, but it’s a seriously bad habit to break. It seems easy enough, but I was so excited to see if I hit the ball straight, that I usually didn’t!
All in all, it was a great first round of golf. I believe my handicap currently stands at 54, so here’s looking to the next round!
